Eleanor F. Gilpatric, 87, of Westbrook, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Springbrook Health Care.

She was born in Westbrook, the daughter of Thomas and Alvina (Rodrigue) Hebert.  Eleanor worked for the S.D. Warren Paper Co. for many years before retiring.

She was a communicant of St. Hyacinth Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Ladies of St. Anne.  She also enjoyed singing in the church choir, which she did for many years.   Eleanor also enjoyed watching the religious network on T.V. and watching old movies.

She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth in 2002.

Eleanor is survived by a daughter Jeannette and her husband Bill Lavigne of Gorham; a sister Rachel Youell of CT;  grandchildren Tammy Broadhurst of Scarborough , Rick Wescott of Westbrook, and Jamie Gaudreau of Westbrook; and four great grandchildren, Nick and Jessica Broadhurst, Karleigh and Kyle Gaudreau.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Church.  Interment will follow in St. Hyacinth Cemetery.  On line condolences may be expressed at www.blaisandhayfuneralhome.com

Jeannette & Family We are so sorry to hear about your mom. i remember when i was at your home growing up she always had a smile on her face,A very sweet lady. We hope your memories of her will help get you through this difficult time.God bless you and all your family.I''m sorry i can not attend the funeral as i have to work.

So sorry about your mother....she was a special person...I will never forget the times we had growing up on park hill...I remember one time when I was home and she came in crying...I asked what was wrong and she said someone had died....I said I am sorry, who was it and she said it was an actor on one of the day time shows..... She really enjoyed life and appreciated it. The world was a better place with her in it...

Jeannette I'm sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She is going to be missed. I'm sorry I couldn't have been there for you at this time, like you & Bill were when my mom passed. Dennis & I are thinking about you & the family. We love you both.
