Scarborough – Randall S. Rafuse, 65, of Buck St. Gorham, passed away Sunday, May 27, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice Center. He was born in Framingham, MA., the son of Warren S. and Louise Balkam Pisciotta Rafuse. He was raised and educated in Fitchburg and Gardner, MA. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 4 years. Randy had been employed by the S. D. Warren Co. for 30 years and later Northeast Paper Co. for several years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, he loved being at his camp in Portage and the outdoor life. In his retirement he enjoyed playing cribbage with his friend Jerry Axelsen and he loved his cat Willy.
He is survived by his wife Jeanne Wescott Rafuse of Gorham, son Randall Jr. and wife Beth Rafuse of Buxton, daughters Robin and husband Carter Logan of Gorham, Rhonda Rafuse and partner Jake of Portland, grandchildren Sarah Logan, Hunter, Brooke and Bayley Rafuse, sisters Pam and husband Bob Holmes, Mikki and husband Gil Rose and brother Vinny Pisciotta all of MA, step brothers and sisters.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home 35 Church St. Westbrook. Funeral Services will take place at the funeral home Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Westbrook. For online condolences go to blaisandhayfuneralhome.com

My heartfelt sympathies go out to all Randy's family. Although it has been 50+ years since we've seen each other I have so many fond memories of our days at Grandma and Grandpa Balkam's house in Millis. My hope is to get back to New England in the next year or so.
